ANALISIS BIBLIOMETRIK ONLINE GAMBLING DISORDER (OGD): TREN GLOBAL, STRUKTUR INTELEKTUAL, DAN KESENJANGAN SERTA ARAH PENGEMBANGAN PENELITIAN

Abstract: The rapid development of digital technology and the increasing penetration of internet access have transformed gambling practices into online formats, giving rise to the phenomenon of Online Gambling Disorder (OGD) as a form of modern behavioral addiction. Although the number of publications related to OGD has shown a growing trend, studies that systematically map research trends, intellectual structures, and research gaps remain relatively limited. Therefore, this study aims to analyze global trends, intellectual structures, and future research directions on OGD using a bibliometric approach. This study utilizes data obtained from the Scopus database using the keyword “Online Gambling Disorder,” searched within article titles. From an initial pool of 39 documents, 29 English-language empirical articles were selected after a screening process. The analysis was conducted using VOSviewer software to identify publication trends, geographical distribution, scientific collaboration patterns, and conceptual linkages through keyword analysis. The findings indicate that publications on OGD have increased significantly since 2020, reaching a peak in 2022. Research contributions are predominantly from European countries, particularly Spain, which also serves as a central hub for scientific collaboration. Conceptually, OGD studies have evolved from a pathological gambling framework toward a digital technology-based behavioral addiction perspective. However, existing research remains largely focused on psychological aspects and instrument development, while studies on intervention strategies and cross-cultural approaches are still relatively limited.

Abstrak: Perkembangan teknologi digital dan meningkatnya penetrasi internet telah mendorong transformasi praktik perjudian ke dalam bentuk daring (online gambling), yang memunculkan fenomena Online Gambling Disorder (OGD) sebagai salah satu bentuk adiksi perilaku modern. Meskipun jumlah publikasi terkait OGD menunjukkan tren peningkatan, kajian yang secara sistematis memetakan tren penelitian, struktur intelektual, serta kesenjangan riset masih relatif terbatas. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tren global, struktur intelektual, dan arah pengembangan penelitian OGD melalui pendekatan bibliometrik. Penelitian ini menggunakan data dari basis data Scopus dengan kata kunci “Online Gambling Disorder” yang ditelusuri pada judul artikel. Dari 39 dokumen awal, diperoleh 29 artikel empiris berbahasa Inggris setelah melalui proses seleksi. Analisis dilakukan menggunakan perangkat lunak VOSviewer untuk mengidentifikasi tren publikasi, distribusi geografis, pola kolaborasi ilmiah, serta keterkaitan konseptual melalui analisis kata kunci. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa publikasi terkait OGD mengalami peningkatan signifikan sejak tahun 2020 dan mencapai puncaknya pada tahun 2022. Kontribusi penelitian didominasi oleh negara-negara Eropa, khususnya Spanyol, yang juga berperan sebagai pusat kolaborasi ilmiah. Secara konseptual, kajian OGD berkembang dari kerangka pathological gambling menuju perspektif behavioral addiction berbasis teknologi digital. Namun demikian, fokus penelitian masih didominasi oleh aspek psikologis dan pengembangan instrumen, sementara kajian intervensi serta pendekatan lintas budaya masih relatif terbatas.
